LOCAL MINI MARKETS
There are two mini markets in Karavados that supply essential everyday items both within walking distance.
SUPERMARKETS
The three main Supermarkets – Kritikos (KPHTIKOΣ), AB Food Market and LIDL are all found on the main road to Argostoli all within 10 minute drive from the villa.
FRESH FISH, MEAT AND VEGETABLES
Although the supermarkets carry all these items a wider, usually cheaper and better quality range of fruit and vegetables can be found at the market on the bay front (Antoni Tristi Avenue) in Argostoli. Fresh fish can be bought straight from the fisherman’s boat on the bay front from early in the morning.

SHOPPING
The best shopping on the island is found in the capital, Argostoli, on Lithostroto. This pedestrianised street is lined with many shops and cafes. This is also where the post office and many of the banks are located.

CAR HIRE
Whilst you can get around the island by Bus & Taxi we recommend that you hire a car so you can get the most enjoyment out of the island. There are many car hire companies on the island, however, following the pandemic a lot of vehicles were sold off and there is now a shortage and prices are quite high, so do your homework and book as early as you can.

FLIGHTS
The following airlines fly direct to Kefalonia from April - October, Ryanair, easyjet, TUI, Jet2 & British Airways, again you need to do your homework, also consider the smaller regional airports as these can be cheaper.
